Sun Tea
Yesterday I got the urge to make Sun Tea. I haven't made it that way in 4 or 5 years! To me there's just something "pioneer" feeling about making it that way. It's right up there with growing your own garden. : ) For some reason I got a lot of enjoyment from looking out the window at my jar of tea steeping in the hot Florida sun. Turned out mmm-mmm good!

Take Time to Smell the Roses
Lately I've been thinking about how important my five senses are to me and what my favorite things are of each. The things I would miss the most if ever I lost some capacity of my physical senses. Eventually I'd like to blog about each of the five, but today what was on my mind was smell. I'm sure if I sat and really put a lot of thought into it I could come up with more than the five favorites I have listed, but these are the ones that came to mind immediately, so they must be the most important.
Love the smell of freshly cut grass.
I would miss the smell of horses, especially the barn with it's combination of horse flesh, sweet grain feed, and yes, even the manure thrown in the mix.

I love love love the pure smell of the air the morning after a hurricane. It's as if the strong winds carry away all the polution and take it out to sea, the rain washes the earth, and you're left with the purest air you've ever smelled.
