Father's Day this year felt a bit rushed and hectic after the busy family reunion the day before, but we still had a great time and lots of good food. We decided to do a golf theme since all of the guys have been into golf lately, and we had grand ideas in our heads for making it look really nice and pulling off a great theme. But alas.................sigh................we had to forgo our great ideas and go for what was more feasible............sigh again. : ) Things were just so busy that it would have been more stressful to make it "perfect." And in Robert's words, "I don't see why you're going to go through all of that trouble just for decorations. We're guys, all we care about is good food and having our family there." So, we took his advice and went with simple, easy decor. Everyone brought a dish or two to share so it kept the work load nice and light for all of us. It was a great day to honor the father's in our lives.
Loved the photos. I'm sure Jon will be downloading some of them.

I'm so glad you decided to blog. I've been wishing you would. I so enjoy Deedee's blog. And Miss Halie is a dolly.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Robert. We'd rather have the time with our wives than have them bustling around making things "perfect". I'm so glad ya'll were together this Father's Day. Thank you, Robert, for who you are and what you've done - for all of us.
