Cowgirls, Pumpkins, and Candy!

Early in October we visited a pumpkin patch with Robert's parents. We didn't stay long as it was chilly and rainy that day, but we did manage to get a few cute pictures.

So proud of her little pumpkin.

One Saturday Robert had to spend the whole morning mowing the property we live on so Halie and I decided to bake up some pumpkin cookies. We always have fun baking and cooking together. She mostly has fun stealing bites while I'm not looking. : )

Halie was a cowgirl for Halloween. Not very original, I know, and a little predictable, but.......it was cheap. We already had the skirt, the shirts, and the boots so all we needed were the hat and other accesories. This particular day was a Halloween party for the story time group at the library.

She loved her gun!

She was very excited to have spurs like Daddy's. She was just too cute.

Here are a few pictures from the library. This little boy is about 17 months old and he was just SO cute in his cowboy outfit. His daddy is a cowboy that has worked with Robert.

Attempting to get a group picture, lol! It was pure chaos that day with kids complaining about their costumes and having to have their pictures taken. Then on top of all that they had cupcakes and oreos for snack, plus exchanging TONS of candy. Halie was SO hyper by the time we got home, she was just bouncing off the walls.

We always paint our pumpkins, and this was Halie's first time ever doing it. She really seemed to enjoy it.

My crazy eyed pumpkin.

Robert's masterpiece. : )

On Halloween Day, we drove over and spent part of the day with Dee Dee, Martin, and Emma and went to a local church for "Trunk or Treating." I didn't want to take her trick or treating because you just never know what kinds of things you'll see and I didn't want her to be terrified of ghosts or witches or whatever else. So the church thing was a great choice and the girls really enjoyed being together.

I found my cute jack o' lantern shirt at a thrift store. : )

So that wraps up the month of October for the Cantrell Family.
