May finally brought a bit of warm weather, hot enough that the kids were able to enjoy the sprinkler and their little pool.
Halie finished up her school time for the year, and finished the 1st grade level of the Hooked on Phonics reading program.
She has just soaked it up and LOVES to read anything and everything!
Robert went fishing all day with some men from church one Saturday, so the kids and I drove down to Dayton and met my cousin and her kids for a play date and picnic at the park.
Cuties Jackson and Luke.
Both kids had a great time and it made for a fun day while Daddy was gone.
Robert surprised me by having a whole box of Shari's Berries sent to the house for Mother's Day. They were SOOO very good!!
Mother's Day with my two sweet kiddos.
Pretty flowers from our rose bushes.
I looked outside one day while Robert was mowing and there was Halie tagging along right behind with her little mower.
And not far behind them came Little Man. It was so cute.
A castle that Halie built.
The Saturday after Robert went fishing all day, I went flea market shopping all day with friends. So he took the kids to a monster truck show while I was gone.
He said they all had a really good time.
Halie loved this little pink miniature monster truck, driven by a 14 year old girl.
I gave the kids popsicles one afternoon and later looked out to see Burl sitting in the empty pool eating his. Funny kid. : )
Being silly.
We got all dressed up in our red, white, and blue to go the Memorial Day Parade.
We took some pictures while we were waiting for it to start.
Checkin' out a bug. Such a boy.
I did a self-portrait type picture with Burl...
And wanted one with Halie too, but she was trying her best to act mad and wouldn't do one with me, so I was trying to aggravate her into smiling.
I almost had her with this one! She's covering her mouth so I couldn't see her smile.
Love those eyes.
They both had a great time, and came home with some yummy candy.
Porch decor for Memorial Day.
Strawberry pickin' time!
Here we see Burl, all nice and clean starting out. I wasn't sure how he'd do, but he seemed to really enjoy it and did a great job. He had to test out just about every one he picked or that I handed him to put in the bucket. : )
Halie did great too.
"Hey, what's under here?"
And here we are part way through. Yummy juice everywhere!
What a mess! : )
2 whole buckets full! I had only intended to get one, but the kids were having such a great time with it we just kept going.
Halie's friend (and some times babysitter) Miss Kerri.
They did a great job and had lots of fun.
I came home and spent the rest of the day making 36 jars of freezer jam. I hope to sell some of the extra jars.
So there ya go. See ya back here real soon for some pictures from June.
