I have been terrible about keeping up with the family blog and I apologize for that to those of you who are keeping up with it. I'm going to try to get my rear in gear and get caught back up.
So let's start with July.
We spent a good part of Independence Day at the local park where they had a little mini carnival/fair set up with free rides, etc. The kids had a blast and rode every ride they were big enough for. Halie even rode the Zero Gravity ride with me!
After we were tired out from all of that we headed out for something to eat, then came back to the park to relax and wait for the fireworks to begin.
Here's Burl showing me his 4th of July monster truck shirt. : )
Halie took this picture of Robert and I. I thought she did pretty good.
After awhile our friends the Burleys joined us and the kids had so much fun playing together while waiting for the show to start.

Here's a little patriotic craft Halie and I made together. I saw the idea in the Family Fun magazine and it was easy and fun. (Mine is on the left, Halie's is on the right.)
Halie found a set of little nail polish bottles at a yard sale for .50 and she used her money to buy them.
She did a pretty good job for her first time of painting her own toes.
The kids and I took a trip down to Lebanon, OH to visit cousins. One cousin and her boys live there, and the other cousin and her boys were visiting from out of town, so it was great to all be together again and let the kiddos play.

Great Aunt Becky getting some snuggles in with the Lil' Man.
Lot of giggles and tickles with cousin Cyndi.
Cousins - Mandi, Cyndi, and Yours Truly. : )
And just because I think it's so stinkin' cute the way he says it, here is a video clip of Burl saying "M&M" (his favorite treat!). It was hard to get him to do it just right on video, but I did get a good one right at the beginning so watch closely.
Video can be seen {HERE}
I'll do my best to get back here ASAP and get August pictures loaded. It's just the start of September, but already we have lots going on so I don't want to get too far behind.
